Bayelsa United head coach Diepreye Teibowei opens up on the target of the Yenagoa-based club in the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL, season npflupdates.com reports.
Bayelsa United earned its first league win in the 2023/24 NPFL season last weekend in Yenagoa, when they beat former NPFL champions Akwa United.

The club’s highest goalcorer last season, Robert Mizo, against Akwa United was very instrumental scoring a hat-trick to help his side secure an important win.
Speaking to the media, coach of Bayelsa United, Diepreye Teibowei, the win against Akwa United is a signal that the club meant business this season. According to the tactician, his boys is bent on putting in a better performance from what they have last season.

“The win over Akwa United has sent a clear signal that we mean business this season,” he told DAILY POST.
“We want to better our performance from last season.”
He added, “our fans should expect an improved performance in the next game against Doma United.”
