Buying Victor Osimhen Will Be Problematic For Big European Clubs – Gabby

The transfer and possible future of Napoli forward Victor Osimhen is again up for discussion amongst football pundits npflupdates.com reports.

Victor Osimhen last summer transfer window was heavily linked with a move away from the Diego Maradona Stadium, with club’s from Europe and Asia declaring interest in the Nigerian.

Saudi Arabia outfit Al Hilal according to reports launched an initial £130million bid for the former Olympique Lille forward. But the bid was turned down by Napoli President Aurelio Di Laurentiis, who demanded a staggering £150million.

Meanwhile, former English Premier League champions Manchester United, have the Nigerian in its wishlist last summer, but withdrew from his pursuit due to Napoli’s asking price.

Victor Osimhen finished as Serie A highest goalscorer last season with 26 goals; and was also rewarded as Serie A best striker. And more recently, speculations in England has it that Chelsea and Arsenal are lining up a January bid for the Napoli man.

Speaking in an interview, ex English international, Gabriel Agbonlahor stressed that will be almost impossible for a club to buy Osimhen.

According to the former Aston Villa captain, it will be something silly and problematic before top European clubs can afford the former VFL Wolfsburg attacker.

“No one will be able to afford him [Osimhen],” Agbonlahor said (via HITC).

“He will be something silly, £140/150million.”

In a related story, Bayer 04 Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface is delighted partnering Osimhen in the Super Eagles attack.

The pair were Jose Peseiro’s choice when Nigeria engaged Saudi Arabia’s Green Falcons in an international friendly last Friday.

“I feel good playing with him (Osimhen), really happy playing together. It is a long journey and I feel proud,” the 22-year-old said.
