“Don’t Let Their Shout Get You” John Ogu Advises Stanley Nwabali After Impressive Ivory Coast Outing

Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu provides an important advise to Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali following his impressive outing against Ivory Coast last Thursday  npflupdates.com reports.

Ogu who currently ply his trade in the Israeli league must have watched the 2023 AFCON fixture between Nigeria and Ivory Coast; hence his advise to Nwabali.

Nwabali put up an impressive performance against the host nation, making at least three crucial saves in the first half. Especially saving a close range shot from an Ivorian playmaker after defender Zaidu Sanusi headed to him a short pass.

The 27-year-old shot-stopper, also made an outstanding save, after Ivorian attacking midfielder Seko Fofana blasted towards him from more than 22 yards.

The blockbuster fixture ended in the favour of Nigerians, as they won 1-0, thanks to a spot-kick by defender and team Captain William Troost-Ekong.

After the fixture, Nigerians across social media platforms, applauded the composure and abilities of Nwabali.

“Dear NWABALI, don’t let all this their shout get to you o!! Stay focus and work hard . E get why !!!,” the former Hapoel Beer Sheva midfielder wrote in his X (formerly Twitter) handle.

In another story, Nwabali urged fans and supporters to encourage the Super Eagles. According to the Chippa United goalkeeper, fans shouldn’t wait until they mistakes before they can encourage and constructively criticise them.

“Please don’t wait for my mistakes. I need, we need, encouragement from #Nigerians, at this #AFCON,” he told journalist Osasu Obayiuwana.
