Falconets head coach, Christopher Musa Danjuma release his final 19-man squad for the upcoming FIFA U-20 women’s world cup qualifier fixture npflupdates.com reports.
The Falconets have been in camp since December last year, as they intensify efforts to beat Burundi and secure a ticket to the FIFA U-20 mundial.
Chris Danjuma selected national team Captain Oluchi Ohaegbulem, goalkeeper Faith Omilana, top defender Shukurat Oladipo and midfielder Taiwo Afolabi among a list of 19 Falconets who will battle it out with Burundi’s U-20 girls.
This two-legged fixture (that will happen home and away) is the final qualifying fixture. The first leg encounter will see the Nigerian ladies go away at Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on Sunday.
This weekend’s encounter at the Azam Stadium Complex will see Tanzanian football executive Somoe Robert Ng’itu play the role of the match commissioner. Meanwhile Fransiska Katjaimo from Namibia will be the match referee assessor.
The Falconets will return to the nation’s capital Abuja, for the second fixture which will take place at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Saturday, 20th January.
