A former Super Eagles Captain, Mikel Obi says he would want Napoli forward Victor Osimhen at the Stamford Bridge whenever he decides to leave the Diego Maradona Stadium npflupdates.com reports.

Victor Osimhen has been seriously linked with a move away from the Diego Maradona Stadium last transfer window. A mouthwatering offer came from Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal, who according to reports is willing to pay the player a whooping sum of $1 million wages.
Also, Manchester United declared interest in the former Olympique Lille forward, but had backed out of the move citing humongous £150 million Napoli asking price. Speaking at Obi One Podcasts, the former Chelsea player, stressed that before last season, he wouldn’t have wanted Osimhen at the London club. But will have to presently embrace the idea, citing the goal-scoring prowess of the former VFL Wolfsburg attacker.

“I think when I look back at him a few years ago, i’d say no, but now, watching him last season and watching him this season, I would say definitely,” Mikel said.

Victor Osimhen finished as the Serie A top scorer with 26 goals, also helped Napoli win its first ever Scudetto title in more than three decades. Also, he win the Serie A best striker for the 2023/2024 season; and also the best foreign player in the Italian league.
“He would come into the Premier League and slot right in. He will get you goals, he will run behind defenders, he will stretch the team,” Mikel continued.
“I think that’s what probably a lot of the teams now in the Premier League are looking for; a striker who wants to run behind the defenders because then it helps the team, and i hope he comes to Chelsea,” he added.
Chelsea are currently battling with consistent form, winning some Premier League matches, and neither drawing nor losing a larger number of games.
