I’ll Do Anything To Play For Nigeria – Holland Player

A Netherland defender, Kingsley Osezele Ehizibue, has vowed to do anything legally possible to ensure he play for Nigeria NPFLUpdates reports.

Kingsley was born in Munich, Germany to Nigerian parents. He however relocated to the Netherlands with his family when he was 2-year-old.

At international level, he is eligible to represent and play for Nigeria through his parents And Germany through his place of birth, while Netherlands for having stayed there all his life.

The Udinese Calcio defender as a kid represented Holland at the youth level. But is now ready to switch his tent to the Green and White colours of the Super Eagles.

The 27-year-old back in 2020 was handed a national team call-up by then Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr. He was invited for a tie against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.

But for some logistics reason which included FIFA clearance. And also getting the Nigerian Passport, he couldn’t make it to the national team.

In an interview with FootballLive , the former Pec Zwolle defender, said it’s time for him to get integrated into the Nigeria senior team.

Because, to him, he’s tired of sitting idle at home. Watching his colleagues engage in international duties during FIFA international breaks.

The former FC Cologne player revealed that it would be a realization of a dream of he can get into the national team. According to him, he’s ready to do whatever it takes to earn a call-up.

Kingsley said he wants to play for Nigeria:

“In weeks like this, when I see my teammates leaving to fulfill international calls, I wish I could do it too. Things have to change, I don’t want to stay here to train with only teammates,” he told the popular Nigerian media outlet.

“I want to be called up. For me it will be the realization of a dream. I saw Nigeria at the world cup, I want to wear the shirt. I will do everything to make my dream come true.”

“I’ve played with players who have played for the national team in Holland and Germany, and I’m proud of them. But, at the same time I think, if they can do it, I can do it too. I think it’s a realistic goal. Now I play in Serie A, why can’t I hope for it? I think is possible if you want it and work hard for it,” he concluded.
