Lucrative Super Eagles Goalkeeper Cries About Facing Some Difficulties

Super Eagles goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke, has opened up on some of the difficulties his club(Enyimba) encountered before arriving Casablanca npflupdates.com reports.

Enyimba is currently in Casablanca ahead of their second leg African Football League (AFL) fixture against Wydad Casablanca on Thursday evening. And Super Eagles invitee, Ojo takes time to talk about what fans should expect from the team.

Last weekend, Enyimba suffered a shocking 1-0 defeat to Wydad Athletic in Uyo, posing a huge task for the reigning Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, if they must overturn the defeat in Morocco.

Speaking ahead of the tie, Ojo explained that the team is Morocco to defeat and get a win against Wydad. According to the former Flying Eagles goalkeeper, Enyimba were faced with some “difficulties and challenges” before arriving Casablanca.

Enyimba Would’ve arrived Morocco as early as Monday evening, but their flight were delayed due to some(now resolved) reasons.

“We came here to achieve Victory,” the Super Eagles Goalkeeper told AFL media.

“We are ready and confident, and we have spoken together. We faced some difficulties and challenges before coming here. But we are a professional team and we can’t complain. We are here to win, and qualify.”

He added, “We want to defeat Wydad just as they did in the first leg.”

In a related story, Enyimba and Super Eagles Assistant coach, Finidi George, said his boys are in Morocco to achieve Victory.

According to the 1994 AFCON winner, he has prepared his boys well for the game tonight, stressing that the team have enjoyed a good amount of time.

“If the match was today(yesterday), I would have been concerned about not getting enough rest. But the match is tomorrow, and we have a good amount of time to prepare for it,” he said.

“We have a young team, but all the players have dreams. And we are here to achieve Victory and qualification. This will happen if all the players deliver a good performance.”

Meanwhile, Wydad Casablanca player, Yahia Attiyat Allah, expressed confident in his team; stressing that they’ll get the job of qualifying for the semi-final done at their home.

“We secured a win in Nigeria, but nothing is guaranteed. And there are 90 minutes ahead of us to seal our  qualification,” he said.
