A renowned Sports Journalist and friend to Victor Osimhen, Oma Akatugba has decried the rumours that Osimhen is a gambler.
Recent rumours flying around has it that Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, encourages gambling. That he encourages gambling by making sure he score goals every match day.
According to the rumour, gamblers in Africa reached an agreement with Osimhen to always score, stressing that fortunes are being staked on any he match he features.
Refuting the claim, the Chairman of OmaSportsTV, urged fans to disregard such report.

The UEFA Licensed Journalist, stated that Osimhen is not a gambler and do not encourage gambling. He also revealed that Osimhen did not have any meeting with any punters.
Osimhen’s do not support gambling:
“Disregard any story flying around about @victorosimhen9 saying ha is scoring for young people in africa because they always put their money on him to score. He does not encourage gambling and will never do . It’s FAKE NEWS!” he wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
Osimhen is the current highest goalscorer in the Italian Serie A with 21 goals in 23 matches this season.
He is also the highest scoring African in a single season in the Italian top flight.
The former Lille Olympique Sport Club forward, is one goal away from equaling George Weah’s record of all time African top scorer in Italy.
George Weah, in his time with Milan, managed a total of 46 goals in over 100 appearances. He’s one more that Osimhen who trails at 45.
The 24-year-old Manchester United target arrived Nigeria Tuesday morning, he will join hos Super Eagles teammate at the Abuja camp later today.
The Napoli forward, will be leading the attack when Nigeria welcome Guinea-Bissau in an AFCON qualifier fixture this weekend. Nigerians are hoping the Gli Azzuri forward will replicate his form in the national colours.
