Super Falcons lucrative forward, Rasheedat Ajibade, has won the Spanish Copa de La Reina with her club, Athletico de Madrid.
Rasheedat Ajibade, is a Nigerian professional footballer who currently plays for Athletico de Madrid in Spain. And formerly, she played for FC Robo Queens in the Nigeria Women Premier League.
The final of the Spanish women’s cup was played at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque on Saturday evening.

The prestigious Estadio Municipal de Butarque, is the home ground of Spanish Segunda outfit, CD Leganes. And the Derby finals against Real Madrid women saw the eventual winners emerge through penalty-shootouts.
And that’s because, Athletico de Madrid, wrestled their way into the game, despite trailing by two goals.
Toletti, opened the scoring with just a minute pass half-hour mark. And few minutes later, Andres, extended their lead through a petrifying strike.
But, instead of staying down, Ajibade and his team rose from their ruins to salvage a point. A 56th minute strike from Moral Ruiz, was that was needed for as a comeback motivation.
And just when Real Madrid were about to go wild in celebration, Banini scored a stoppage time equaliser. And the game went into extra-time, and eventually the penalty-shootouts.

Rasheedat Ajibade basking in euphoria of Copa de Reina

Shortly after winning the title, Ajibade went wild in celebration. And being a Christian, she got an inscription on her jersey that read, “Thank You Jesus”
Ajibade will be at the upcoming FIFA women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand with the Super Falcons.
