Tella Scores 1st Bundesliga Goal As He Celebrates Super Eagles Call-Up

Super Eagles invitee Nathan Tella on Sunday against Union Berlin scored his first ever German Bundesliga goal npflupdates.com reports.

Tella joined Bayer 04 Leverkusen last August from English Premier League outfit Burnley. Starting life in the Bundesliga was a bit difficult for the former Aston Villa winger; he lacked game time always featuring in matches from the bench.

His recent fine form for club earned him a national team call-up to the Super Eagles of Nigeria. The England-born on several occasions expressed willingness to represent Nigeria internationally.

Reacting to his first goal for the Black and Red, Tella took to his official X (formerly Twitter) to publish a post.

“Great way to go into the international break. Happy to score my first Bundesliga goal.”

In another story, former Super Eagles Captain John Mikel Obi, has urged Napoli forward Victor Osimhen to join Chelsea next January.

Several reports in Europe linked Osimhen away from the Serie A reigning champions with Saudi Arabia outfit Al Hilal presenting tempting offers twice. But Osimhen stood with Napoli, and even verbally agreed a contract extension with Napoli.

“He’s got the personality and the arrogance. When he walks, you can tell someone just walked into the room, and that’s what Didier had. I think he’s pretty close to what Didier was and my advice for him would be to come to Chelsea,” Mikel said on the Obi One podcast.
