Super Eagles invitee Jordan out of UEFA Europa Conference League
More details on the injury status of the 26-year-old wasn’t revealed, as the club highlighted that Cuypers will be returning in few weeks as his injury isn’t severe.
Jordan as a dependable defender, has featured for Gent in all of its nine Belgian Pro League games this season. And also scoring once, thus helping the former Pro League League champions cement it’s place on the second spot of the league table.
Jordan Torunarigha who is hoping to make his Super Eagles debut during the international friendly debut against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique next week is now a big doubt. The former Germany Youth International failed to debut for Nigeria during the AFCON qualifier fixture against Sao Tome and Principe in Uyo, AkwaIbom State last month.
He was presented with an opportunity, when his name appeared in the team list for the Saudi Arabia and Mozambique friendlies. Whether he features in either or both matches depends on how fast he recovers from his injury.
