Super Eagles and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen is presented with a heart-melting gift by FIFA npflupdates reports.
And this is coming at a time when the youngster helped Napoli win its first ever Scudetto in more than three decades.
The Nigerian international recorded twenty-six goals and provided four assists to help Napoli win the Serie A.
Last week the Nigerian scored in his last match of the 2022-2023 season to end the season on a high.
And at the game on Sunday, FIFA official Gelson Fernandez presented Osimhen with a signed jersey and football Pulse Sports Nigeria confirmed.
Gelson Fernandez before presenting the gift was in company of the NFF President, Ibrahim Gusau. Ibrahim Gusau traveled to Naples to witness the crowning of Osimhen and Napoli.

Taking to his verified Instagram handle, Mr. Gelson appreciated Osimhen for making a mark in Europe. According to his statement, Osimhen’s determination has guided all his moves in world football.

“From Lagos to Napoli where people love you. You have suffered but your love for football and determination guides you.”
And speaking further, Gelson, charged the 24-year-old to “keep pushing”. Also stressing that Africa need example and millions of people and fans are watching; and also dreaming.of a better life and records. And he also revealed FIFA’s plan of organising and hosting FIFA U-17 World Cup every year.
“Keep going, keep pushing. Africa need example and millions are watching and dreaming. We have to give them this chance. The football world discovered you at the U17 world cup in 2015. FIFA will organise soon a world cup U-17 every year. To give players a chance! Football Unites the world.”
Osimhen is expected to make the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming AFCON qualifier fixture against Sierra Leone.
