The Nigerian midfielder is in the last 11 months of his contract with Everton after joining from Arsenal. And the player according to reports in England is already in talks with the club for an extension.
Last season, Iwobi was instrumental for the team, helping them avoid relegation to the Skybet Championship. And has since the time of Frank Lampard down to Sean Dyce as manager, improved becoming the fans favourite.

And last season, it was speculated that the former Arsenal player is negotiating for a contract that will see him earn £100k per-week wage. But, whether or not he will be staying at the Goodison Park this season depends on the outcome of the negotiations.

“Me and (director of football Kevin Thelwell) have been speaking about the idea of being open with the agents, open with the players and fathoming out in a way that is a more open scenario – open conversations, where are we at with it, what is the truth of it, and working it all out,” Everton Coach Sean Dyce told reporters.
According to Dyce, the contract negotiation processes is not for only Iwobi who may leave next summer on a free. But also for players in the last year of their contracts.
“That is just an ongoing process, not just with him but with every player whose contract has either got a renegotiation or a question mark or time lapse.”
Iwobi played the full 90 minutes of Everton’s 2023-24 Premier League opener against Fulham on Saturday. And he has now featured on 139 matches for the Merseyside club since arriving from Arsenal.
