Super Eagles attacker Emmanuel Dennis, has signed for Turkish giants Istanbul Basaksehir on loan from Nottingham Forest npflupdates.com reports.

Recall, Emmanuel Dennis had struggled at Forest since joining them from Watford FC. And just recently, the 25-year-old was excluded from Forest’s squad for the 2023/2024 English Premier League squad.
So, he will look forward to adapting to the type of football in the Turkish Super Lig.
“Our club reached an agreement with Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis, who plays for Nottingham Forest, one of the Premier League teams, on loan until the end of the 2023-2024 season,” Club’s official statement read.
“We welcome Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis to our family and wish him success with our orange-dark blue jersey.”
Meanwhile, the path of Dennis and that of Istanbul Basaksehir have crossed in the past. And that was sometime in 2017, during a UEFA Champions League preliminary rounds. The Nigerian was oppotuned to have scored against them.
So, while talking to the club’s media after his loan move was confirmed, Dennis reminisced on his first encounter with Istanbul Basaksehir.

“My first encounter with Başakşehir was when Club Brugge played against them in qualification for the Champions League,” he started.
“My big brother Emmanuel Adebayor played the game as well. So we had a conversation after the game and he invited me later to Istanbul.
“I met him here, we relaxed, went to his house together, spent the whole day together. He told me few things about the club.”
Speaking futher the Nigerian confessed that those words of Adebayo had sticker with him.
“It was just in my head. And then recently, I received a message from my agent that the club were interested in me,” he continued.

“I said it’s a nice place, I’m familiar with them because I’ve been to the stadium. I have played against them, I’ve had few friends who played here, they always tell me good stories about the people, the club, so I decided to come here. And I’m happy with it” he added.
