Victor Boniface against FC Heidenheim
Goal by Bayer 04 Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface against Qarabag has been listed as one of the contenders for the UEFA Europa League goal of the week npflupdates.com reports.
Boniface in Thursday evening scored one of the best goals of the UEFA Europa League clash between Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Azerbaijan giant Qarabag.

Bayer Leverkusen defeated it’s opponent 5-1 to climb top of their UEFA Europa League group table with three wins in three games.
Qarabag who have won their last two games in the continent, had hopes of taking at least a point from the German Bundesliga league leader. But their hopes were dashed by the rampaging Xabi Alonso’s boys.
Florian Wirtz gave the hosts the lead after just four minutes into the high intense game, sending the home fans into a jubilation mood.
However, Qarabag equalized from the spot fifteen minutes later to restore parity, giving their travelling fans hope of at least getting a point.
Boniface scores a stunner against Qarabag
Alex Grimaldo restores Leverkusen’s lead in the 29th minute, before Victor Boniface scored a screamer in the 35th minute to extend the lead by two goals.
The Nigerian forward, collected the ball from a team, right at the edge of Qarabag’s box, and fired straight into the right top-corner, giving the goalkeeper no chance at all. The goal has been listed as a contender for the goal of the week.
Grimaldo completed his brace in the second-half, while Tapsoba wrapped up the winning Inna dramatic fashion.
Speaking after the game, coach Xabi Alonso expressed happiness in the performance of his boys.
“Today we did very well, but they have a good team and play well, both of their victories were deserved. In a few weeks, we go to Baku and that will be tough. Today’s victory was very important for us,” he said to the Club’s media.

Also, Boniface was presented with a Golden Boot plaque for finishing last season as the UEFA Europa League top Goalscorer alongside Marcus Rashford of Manchester United.
He will now hope to continue his goal-scoring form in this weekends German Bundesliga fixture.
