Peseiro reveal confidence in Francis Uzoho
During the last international break in a friendly game against Saudi Arabia, the 24-year-old howled a harmless free-kick into his own net.
“I’m confident in Uzoho; immediately I see another goalkeeper better than him I’ll play him,” the former Sporting CP gaffer said.
According to Peseiro, he wants and always goes for the best for the Super Eagles.
“I’m not stupid, I want to play the best players and win,” he added.
In a related development, Super Eagles stand-in Captain Kenneth Omeruo, has also canvassed support for national team goalkeepers.

According to the Kasimpasa defender, Super Eagles goalies are under intense pressure playing for Nigeria.
“We, the players, are behind Uzoho because that is the best goalkeeper that we have. People can disagree because he made one or two mistakes. But we should not also forget when he had his best games. I see posts on social media, and the media is also not helping issues,” Omeruo said and was quoted by Cable Nigeria.
“I remember when Maduka [Okoye] was about to join the Super Eagles. The media was pushing for him to join, then he was with the team and made one mistake. The mistake was not so bad, but how he was attacked was discouraging.
“We need Nigerians to support our goalkeepers because it is not easy to keep for Nigeria. I am not a goalkeeper, but I know they are under immense pressure. I like Uzoho’s mentality because if not that he is strong, he would have run away.”
In another story, Lesotho coach, Leslie Notsi has confirmed it would be a herculean task to defeat the Super Eagles. However, he stated that his team would give their best against the three-time African champions.
“We are playing a tough fixture against one of the best footballing countries in Africa and the world, a team that has qualified for the World Cups,” Notsi told reporters.
