A former Giwa FC striker, Ibrahim Shuaibu, has made a return back to the Nigeria Premier Football League almost a decade after he left the shores of Nigeria in search of a greener pasture.
Ibrahim Shuaibu was a sensation and a delight to watch during his first stint at the local league. Rising to the ranks of Giwa FC as a teenage fresh graduate out of the popular Golden Boot Soccer Academy.
As fate may have it, Ibrahim after a short stint at Giwa FC, secured a more lucrative move to Europe. He signed for a Norwegian outfit, Haugesund in 2015/2016 season. At Haugesund he managed a total of 8 Goals in over 10 matches.

When the going got tough, he switched sides and joined another Norwegian club Kongsvinger on loan in 2018. This decision he took in a bid to rediscovering his goalscoring form.
In early 2019, the young striker was yet again sent on loan to an Israeli outfit Bnei Sakhnin. Probably one of the worst stints he’s ever had as a footballer. Because he failed to make any official competitive appearance for the club.
Without much thoughts, he returned to Norway the following year in 2020 signing for Mjondalen on a permanent basis.
The following year, he left Mjondalen to sign for Jerv, another local club in the Norwegian lower division. From Jerv he moved to Iraq, signing for Ebril last year.
