Speaking to the media last weekend, former English footballer Darren Bent, reveal that Osimhen is a good option for Arsenal; but is also a risk owing to his questionable attitude.
Osimhen on several occasions has publicly expressed dissatisfaction over the affairs of his former coaches.
What Bent Said About Victor Osimhen
“Victor Osimhen, is he really going to be the answer?” Darren Bent was quoted by TBR Football.
“Yes, he was good at Napoli, but maybe his attitude has been questioned on occasions, that’s still a risk.
“I just don’t think you can just go out there and guarantee, right, we know he’s the guy who’s going to go and score us 20, 25 goals.”
Bent further expressed dissatisfaction with other forwards linked to Arsenal.
“[Benjamin] Sesko would be a risk by coming to Arsenal,” he said.
“[Dusan] Vlahovic, he turned Arsenal down before. What’s his desire going to be to come back and actually come to the club and score goals?
“[Viktor] Gyokeres is another one. I watched him a lot of Coventry. Big fan of his, he’s at Sporting, Sporting have been doing really well.
“Can he come to the Premier League, which is the hardest league in the world to score goals in, and can he score 15 to 20? Again, it’s another risk.”
Okocha Refuses To Apologise To The NFF
In another story, ex Super Eagles captain Austin Jay Jay Okocha has vowed never to apologise to the NFF(Nigeria Football Federation) over his statement about Nigeria football being politicised.
According to the former Bolton Wanderers skipper, the Super Eagles may not win any trophy with the current crop of staff at the NFF.
“I have received series of messages to apologise to NFF, and my question is, ‘for what? For demanding a better committee?’ No, I can’t apologise while I just made my own personal opinion. Don’t we have right for freedom of speech again in Nigeria?”
“Football is the only ties that keep Nigeria going as one. It is our only source of Joy. If you politicise it what will be our hope tomorrow? We must be free and allowed to express our minds.”
