AÂ Flying Eagles player has vowed to employ Hunger-Protest if the national team fails to impress at the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup tournament in Argentina.
The Flying Eagles under the tutelage of Isah Ladan Bosso is currently in Argentina for a FIFA U-20 W’Cup. And the team also started on a winning note, by a victory against Dominican Republic U-20 last weekend.
Nigeria came from behind to beat Dominican Republic, in a most dramatic way. The team held much possessions of the ball. But at the same time failed to capitalize on their numerous goal-scoring chances.
Attention of the team who sit on the second spot on their Group D table will now be focused on next fixture, Italy U-20 . And the game will be a battle for the top spot, as the Italians ran away victorious against Brazil.
And according to a discussion with a player form the team who don’t want his name in prints. The team is in high spirit, and ready to devour Italy to clinch the quarterfinal ticket.

“We are in high spirit, I can tell you. And that’s especially because of our victory against Dominican Republic(U-20). We thought the game would be easy, but it’s not,” he told NPFLUpdates correspondent.
“We dominated the game. And that’s the plan, bold the ball, play passes and choke the opponent with attacks emanating from the wings. I can tell you, we trained for this very well during our camping in Abuja.”
And speaking further, the kid assured the boys can move mountains in Argentina. He also vowed to protest by going hungry, if the team fail to impress fans and supporters.
“For me to tell you how prepared we are; I’m ready to go hungry in protest if we fail to progress to the quarter-finals.
“I won’t talk much, we’ll go to work on Wednesday,” he concluded.
On Wednesday, 24 May, Nigeria will entertain Italy at the Estadio Malvinas Argentinas. The match will kickoff by 7pm local time.
