Nigeria played out a 2-2 draw with the Asian giants, with goalkeeper Uzoho making a costly mistake that led to Saudi Arabia’s first goal. The 24-year-old had howled a cross from a set-piece into his own net, to the dismay of Nigerians and other supporters.

Speaking after the match, Peseiro reminisced on how no goalkeeper had wanted to keep for Nigeria, due to criticism from fans.
