Ghanaian footballer Raphael Dwamena has been confirmed dead following a cardiac arrest yesterday npflupdates.com reports.
The former Black Stars of Ghana forward tragically passed away after collapsing due to a heart attack during an Albanian Superliga game between FK Egnatia and KF Partizani.

According to the PUNCH Nigeria on Saturday, the 28-year-old collapsed in the 23rd minute of the game against Partizani. And gave up the ghost while he was being transported to the Kavajë hospital, where he was consequently declared dead.
Per the report, it was understood that Dwamena had been playing with an Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator due to a pre-existing heart problem.
This heart problem was first widely reported after he failed a medicals that would have seen him sign for Brighton and Hove Albion in the English league.

Reporting the unfortunate incident, Albania Footy said on Twitter,
“Rest in Peace to KF Egnatia’s Raphael Dwamena. The Ghanaian collapsed on the pitch during the Superliga match between Egnatia and Partizani. He later passed away in the hospital at the age of 28.”
“On 11 November 2023, Dwamena collapsed again on the field in the 23rd minute of the first half of the round 13 match between Egnatia and Partizani in the Kategoria Superiore. He suffered cardiac arrest and died on the way to Kavajë Hospital,” a Wikipedia report said.

Boy was known for his time with the Swiss side FC Zurich, also he won the Swiss Challenge league and Swiss cup during his time playing in Switzerland.
