A recent report in the media has it that the former Olympique Lille man is in the transfer list of French Ligue 1 giants Paris St-Germain; especially when it has been confirmed that Kylian Mbappe would be leaving the club.
What Peseiro said about Victor Osimhen
Speaking in a recent interview, the former Sporting CP manager remains upbeat that Osimhen has what it takes to break into any big team.
“I think he can play for any team in the world,” Peseiro was quoted by Soccernet Nigeria.
“I’m not going to say one to avoid speculation. He is an animal when it comes to pressing, very good with his head, in the area, and with his eye, which he also associates.
“Of course, he doesn’t associate like other Barça players, but City also looked for associative football and went for Haaland.
“Aren’t City winning? Isn’t Erling scoring goals? Osimhen is a player to play for Barça, Madrid, or another.
“Other associative players do not have his vertical movements, his aerial ability, or his pressure. He can play on the best team in the world.”
In another story, South African football legend Doctor Khumalo, identified the Super Eagles as a beatable opponent ahead of a world cup qualifier fixture.
Recall, Nigeria defeated the Bafana Bafana on penalties in the 2023 AFCON to progress to the finals.
But, Khumalo is backing Hugo Broos and his team to find Nigeria an opponent to beat in the qualifiers.
“For them to qualify, let’s not dismantle it; it’s not yet broken, so let’s give Hugo support,” Khumalo says as per SABC News.
“Helman and the background staff and the boys, let’s allow them to continue the way they did in Ivory Coast.
“I would like to believe that Nigeria is in our group, but from what I have seen in Ivory Coast, I can bet all my money that SA can overcome that obstacle.”
