Osimhen : I Would Bet My Life For Outstanding Samuel Chukwueze

SSC Napoli forward Victor Osimhen expresses confident Super Eagles teammate and Milan’s winger Samuel Chukwueze npflupdates.com reports.

Osimhen has said if possible, he can bet his life for Samuel Chukwueze who is currently having a hard start to life in the Italian Serie A.

Osimhen and Chukwueze were teammates when Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets won its fifth FIFA U-17 world cup tournament in 2015; they also represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Chukwueze joined AC Milan last August from Villarreal CF in the Spanish Primera Division, and has since then failed to integrate himself in to the club’s starting XI.

The Nigerian winger, has not recorded any Serie A goal or assist since joining Milan; however he has a goal in the Copa Italia.

Speaking in a Twitch interview with a Emiliano Viviano, the former Olympique Lille forward, canvassed for support for Osimhen. According to the 24-year-old, Serie A is a competitive league, and will take time for players to adapt in.

“Chuk is a great talent for his age. I also struggled the first two months in Italy. Serie A is a very competitive league. He came from a different league, I would bet my life on his talent. He must believe in his talent and it will start to show,” he stated as quoted by Sempremilan media outlet.

In a related development, the former VFL Wolfsburg forward despite speculations he’s not happy at the Estadio Diego Maradona, rebuffed the speculations saying he was still happy in Naples.

“I am happy at Napoli,” he said.

“People don’t know how difficult it is to play in Serie A. From a tactical and physical point of view, it’s one of the most difficult leagues to play in.”

When asked if he would rather play in the MLS or Saudi Pro League if given the same conditions, Osimhen said: “If I had the same conditions, I would go to MLS.”

He, however, did praise the Saudi Pro League for trying to improve their league, by signing in world biggest names.

Since the arrival of Ronaldo to Al Nassr last January, the Saudi Pro league has witnessed the arrival of some of the sport’s biggest names. Also including a 2022 Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema and Brazil all time leading top goalscorer Neymar Jr.

“They are trying to develop their league, which is good,” he said.

“One [Ronaldo] of the greatest of all time has gone there. Because of his [Ronaldo’s] influence, they have attracted a lot of talented players to also go there. So for me it’s really good, they are trying to build their league into one of the best. For me they are doing something amazing.”
