Osimhen Set To Take Legal Action Against Napoli Over TikTok Video

Victor Osimhen make take a legal action against Napoli SSC following a social media video mocking him npflupdates.com reports.

Osimhen in a viral TikTok video(now deleted) posted on the official handle of Napoli was trolled because of his penalty miss against Bologna last weekend.

On Sunday, Osimhen was denied by the post in the first half of a Serie A fixture against Bologna, and more shockingly also missed a goal-scoring chance from the spot.

And the draw away at Bologna meant that Napoli is without a Serie A win in three matches. And Osimhen being without a goal in four matches across all competitions.

Probably angered by the penalty miss, a thrilling video was released on Tuesday afternoon. But, has been deleted after fans reacted in favour of the Nigerian.

Meanwhile, Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda has vowed to utilize any means legally to ensure the rights and image of his client is not tampered with.

According to Calenda, the video is not acceptable, and causes a serious damage to the player.

“What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted,” Mr. Calenda said.

“A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news.”

“We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor,” he added.

In a related development, Napoli Captain Di Lorenzo, urged Players and staff of the club to stick together and avoid distractions.

According to the Italy international, it’s important that players and coaches remained focus on the objective.

“We manage certain episodes within the locker room. These become more evident when things go wrong,” he said.

“In these moments we don’t need such an attitude, we need to be united and focused on the objective. We will talk to the group and the coach to resolve it.”

Meanwhile, Rudi Garcia, head coach of Napoli has defended the spot-kick miss by Osimhen. According to the former Al Nasr gaffer, even the greatest footballers miss penalties too. He also, revealed speaking to the Nigerian about his outburst on the touchline when he was substituted.

“The missed penalty happens to the greatest players in the history of football,” Garcia said.

“Then, I obviously spoke to him about his exit, but what I said to him and the team he remains in the locker room. I may not be happy with their performance, but we are a squad with many players and therefore obviously everyone must be used. He is the penalty taker.

“There is a team that starts, one that is in the second half and another at the final whistle. We will not go far unless I can count on all the lads.”

In addition, Garcia highlighted the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence in a team.
