Fans of the Super Falcons of Nigeria have pleaded with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure the national team players get free liters of petrol npflupdates.com reports.
And the calls were as a result of the Super Falcons outstanding performance at the ongoing 2023 FIFA women’s World Cup tournament in Australia and New Zealand.

The Nigerian ladies are top of their Group with four points from two games. Despite being reduced to ten in their first fixture against Olympics champions Canada, the team battles to a draw.
And on Thursday, the team defied all odds to stun co-host nation Australia at the Suncorp stadium. Interestingly, they came from behind once to win the blockbuster tie.
Australia took the lead in the stoppage time of the first-half capitalising on a free space in the box. However, the Super Falcons came back into the game through Uchenna Kanu’s equalizer, still in the first-half stoppage time.
Tactical changes by coach Randy Waldrum which saw Asisat Oshoala and Jennifer Echegini brought in paid off. Because a fine effort from Oshoala forced a Nigerian corner-kick, which eventually led to their second of the night.
And in the 72nd minute, Oshoala capitalized on a miscommunication between Australian players to slot into an open net. And that will eventually be the decisive goal, as the Matildas snatched a late second consolation goal.

Reacting to the outstanding performances of the national team who weren’t given a soft-landing by pundits and fans; Nigerians are asking the Federal Government to disburse free liters of petrol to the ladies as a reward.

“I appeal to President Bola Tinubu to ensure the ladies get at least free liters of fuel when they arrive. It doesn’t matter whether they win the title or not,” Eze told NPFLUpdates correspondent.
“The Super Falcons have done us proud. Can’t think of a better way to reward them. But then, they need to be rewarded with something precious,”Godwin said.
