Real Sociedad forward Umar Sadiq opens up on speculations that strikers compete for spot in the Super Eagles attacking department npflupdates.com reports.

Umar Sadiq is in the Super Eagles camp ahead of their 2026 FIFA world cup qualifier fixtures against the Likuena of Lesotho and Warriors of Zimbabwe this Thursday and weekend respectively.

Based on what the former AS Roma forward told the NFF TV, players don’t care about game time, or not playing at all; but the success of the team.

”Whenever we come here we are always motivated, we want to play for the country,” Umar Sadiq said as quoted by CompleteSports Nigeria.

“We are always happy to represent the country whether you start, had some minutes or on the bench we are always ready to represent.”

Speaking further, the former Almeri forward, sought for the support of the fans, and supporters of the national team as they begin their race to a 2026 FIFA world cup tournament.

“They should keep supporting us and I hope in the two games we will come out with a good results,” he added.

In another story, Napoli forward Victor Osimhen talked about an attempt to leave the Diego Maradona Stadium last summer.
