Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has finally opened up on why he shared dollars to workers at the airport NPFLUpdates exclusively reports.
The Super Eagles Coach early on Tuesday, was spotted giving out some dollar notes to workers. Because workers were cheering the Super Eagles players upon their arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The national team arrived Nigeria from Bissau after an AFCON qualifier against the Wild Dogs of Guinea-Bissau.
And the Super Eagles Monday leapfrogged back to the top of their AFCON qualifier Group A. Because they overcame a hard-nut-to-crack opponent at the Estadio 24 de Setembro.
Nantes FC winger and Super Eagles’ Vice Captain, Moses Simon, scored the only goal of the tie. He converted from 12-yards in the 30th minute after defender Osayi-Bright was brought down in the box.
The goal was enough to ensure the three-time African Champions get three points. Nigeria are now top of the Group A with nine points from four games.
Guinea-Bissau fans invaded the pitch at full-time to align with the Super Eagles stars. Because majority of them were starstrucked.
Recall NPFLUpdates reported how Guinea-Bissau Fans Barricade Super Eagles’ Exit from the stadium in a show of love.
And according to the report, some Guinea-Bissau players stormed the dressing room of the Super Eagles to ask for swapping of jerseys.
So, Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, defender Zaidu Sanusi and winger, Ademola Lookman was reported to have given out their Matchday jerseys to opponent players.
Confirming the shared dollars incident, Super Eagles media staff Randa Andrew made a Twitter post.
Tweeting via his verified Twitter handle, he said “Peseiro just dey drop dollars for workers at the airport. He’s more street that a lot of us.”

A crew with the team told NPFLUpdates, that the coach gave away dollars just to appreciate the the workers. Because of their belief and support to the national team.
Why Peseiro shared dollars
“There’s nothing bad to create out of this kind gesture by our coach,” he said Tuesday afternoon.

“I know some mischievous elements would like to carve out a bad story out of this. But let me shock them, their plans are already dead on arrival.
“Peseiro is a kind man and a master of the game. So let’s just give him some time. Because I know he will come better because he’s already good.”
