Some big names are missing the recent Flying Eagles provisional list released by Coach Isah Ladan Bosso ahead of the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Last week, Bosso invited a total of 39 players to the Flying Eagles camp in Abuja. And this is coming few weeks after the national team won bronze at the AFCON.
Last month, Nigeria qualified for the FIFA U-20 World Cup after reaching the semi-final of the AFCON U-20 in Egypt.
The Flying Eagles hoped to reach the AFCON U-20 final, and probably win, but we’re beaten by Gambia in semi-final. However, they achieved a podium finish by beating Tunisia to the bronze medal.
And ahead of the FIFA U-20 W’Cup that will hold in Argentina, Bosso is putting final touches to his team.

But, there are names that failed to make the squad. And that has got fans of the national team talking.
Kenny Coker:
Kenny Temitope Coker is a Nigeria-English-American footballer who plays for Norwich in the English Skybet Championship. He was born on 10 November 2003 in Atlanta Georgia, USA. So far this season he’s featured in 14 games in the Premier League 2 with no goals.
He was in camp with the national team before the AFCON U-20, but didn’t make the list. Maybe this time, he will make the squad for the World Cup.
Ademola Ola-Adebomi:
Ademola is a Nigeria-English footballer, who plays for Crystal Palace in the English Premier League. So far he’s had 7 goals in 16 games for the London club in the Premier League 2.
And Ademola was in the camp of the national team before the AFCON U-20. But he couldn’t make the final list. And maybe this time, he will make the list to the World Cup.
Abel Ogwuche:
Abel Ogwuche is one of the Flying Eagles defenders at the last edition of the AFCON U-20 tournament. He is very strong and a thorn in the flesh of strikers, hence winning a Man-of-the-match award at the tourney.
Shockingly, his name is not in the list of players invited to the Abuja camp.
Wilson Eric:
Wilson Eric is a defender at Sloboda FC in a Portuguese league. He was at the Flying Eagles camp last year before the WAFU B tournament in Niger. He couldn’t make the squad due to injury; he also missed out of the squad for the AFCON in Egypt.
