Ebere Eugene, an U-19 player of Israeli club, Maccabi Netanya, has set his sights in featuring for the Flying Eagles (U-20) and Super Eagles of Nigeria npflupdates.com reports.

The young Nigerian footballer, Eugene Ebere, who recently joined the under-19 youth team revealed the ultimate goal of representing Flying Eagles and Super Eagles on the international stage in an interview with The PUNCH Nigeria.
Eugene, is an indigene of Ezimba Ezelu Okwe, Onuimo Local Government Area of Imo State. He was initially contracted with a local football academy based in Abuja, Derby FC before his lucrative move to Israel.

He was the captain of the Abuja based club, winning a lot of laurels, for the team. And of course was the club’s MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the club on several occasions across the various seasons he played for them.
More interestingly, the teenager, while in Nigeria scored a whopping 32 goals in 31 games for the local side in the 2022/2023 season of the Abuja Elite League.
Speaking to the Nigerian media giant, It was the dream of Ebere Eugene to break into Maccabi Netanya’s senior team in no distant time. And that, will start by performing well for the club’s U-18, and convincing the club’s hierarchy.
Ebere Eugene confesses his Super Eagles ambition
“My intention as a footballer is to play for the the senior team of Israel and to represent Nigeria at the youth and national team levels,” he said.
“My focus at the moment is to perform well for the Under 18 team, so that I can make it to Maccabi Natenya’s senior team.”

Speaking about his long time of representing Nigeria, the teenage goalscorer said, “And my long time dream is to become a prominent football star and to feature for Nigeria’s Flying Eagles and Super Eagles.”
