Flying Eagles Star, Ibrahim Muhammad dedicates his goal against Argentina to the newly elected President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Nigeria beat Argentina on Wednesday to reach the FIFA U-20 W’Cup quarter-final. And that is as a result of the players doggedness.
After a tough first half, the Flying Eagles went into the second half with a new tactical formation. And shortly after the introduction of striker, Emmanuel Umeh, Nigeria broke the deadlock.
Ibrahim Muhammad was set up by the Lokomotiv Plovdiv striker on the 61st minute after muscling out Argentinian defenders.
And soaking up the goal-scoring pressures from the host nation, Nigeria found another chance and extended their lead. AC Milan midfielder, Victor Eletu, out-powered his marker to provide the assist to Haliru Sarki in the stoppage time.
And while reacting to the performance of the team, and his goal; Ibrahim said he felt happy. And according to him, the goals is his first ever goal at a FIFA world cup tournament.
“I feel so happy as you can see this is my first goal at the World Cup, so I’m very happy,” he was quoted by Pulse Sports Nigeria.
“We were never nervous before the game, we had the confidence, and with the way football is there’s nothing like host country.”

And when speaking further, the teenager, highlighted that he’s dedicating his goal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He also appreciated his teammates and supporters of the team.

“And personally I dedicate my goal to our new president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. and I really appreciate my teammates for their efforts to win,” he added.
Nigeria will now exchange tackles with the winner of the tie between Ecuador and Korea.
